Job Summary:

BGT is seeking a hard-working Field Superintendent in the DFW area. This role is responsible for providing oversight of all aspects of assigned project(s) in the region. This individual will provide direction and support to the field crew and provide weekly updates to management to highlight progress and alert of issues.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Project Management: Monitor the job progress in the field and keep BGT personnel informed of important dates & deadlines. Study all the contracted information to fully understand BGT’s scope of work, plans, take-off, layouts, shop drawings, scheme breakdown, materials, etc. Review BGT assemblies with subcontractors before they start production. Work with General Contractors and crew leaders to manage the scheduling of installation and skills needed – complete presentation to ensure understanding. Daily reporting of job activities/issues including BGT manpower. Create punch and completion lists using Procore software. Ensure crews always have material on-site when needed – material inventory at the job site.
  • Personnel Management: Provide direction, guidance, and support to the field crew, and work closely and collaborate with other divisions to ensure successful completion of projects within their region. Conduct employee / GC survey at the end of a project. Create payroll reports. Visit job sites as needed. Monthly expense reports.
  • Reporting/Budget: Works with all Department to understand each project’s budget, and reports anticipated variances in a timely manner. Reviews and recommends on-site project expenditures. Responsible for providing oversight of all materials management of new and on-going projects in a specific region. Provide consistent reporting on critical paths of each job as well as budget and schedule status. Logs daily field activity.
  • Contract Management: Attend contract review meetings for insight and input prior to entering a contractual agreement. Elevate all concerns/issues to Production Director. Works with Estimating and Project Engineering on material change orders. Attend 1st Turn review meeting and communicate any adjustments needed.
  • Personal Development: Is committed to increasing job knowledge and expanding personal capacity by participating in continuing education related to the field of expertise and in training to maintain a thorough knowledge of BGT’s products and services. Remains current on industry trends and developments.

Qualifications:

Education- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management/related field, or PMP is a plus. Experience may be considered in lieu of education. 

Experience- Experience working in the multi-family construction industry a must. 2+ years of experience with interior finishes preferred.

  • OSHA Certification is a strong plus
