BGT is seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. BGT is a leading interior finish provider for multi-family new construction projects across Texas. This role will support the accounting department by performing various accounting and clerical functions, including accounts payable and job costing.
Responsibilities include processing and reconciling accounting documents, coding financial information in QuickBooks, reviewing information for accuracy, maintaining organized records, assisting with billing, supporting the accounting team with general administrative tasks, and assisting with additional accounting projects as assigned. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
- Knowledge of GAAP principles
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to focus on tedious tasks, such as data input, under stressful conditions
- Ability to assist with additional accounting projects as assigned
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting-related role preferred
- 1+ year of accounts payable experience in the construction industry or a related field preferred
- High school diploma and 3+ years of experience in an accounting position
OR - Associate’s degree and 1+ year of experience in an accounting position
